About Me Pronouns: he/they

This is not a mathematical about me page, but a page about the rest of me and my life. My 'extra curricular' interests include swimming, running, cycling, and photography, as well as striving for a society which aims for equity over equality.

I was born and grew up on the lands of the Anaiwan peoples. My tertiary education was on the lands of the Cadigal and Ngunnawal peoples. I acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands on which I live and work, and pay my respects to their elders, past and present.

In previous chapters of my life I worked as a disability support worker, swimming instructor (mainly private lessons, working with people with disabilities), and first aid-officer among other random bits and pieces. The people I interacted with across these jobs have had a profound impact on me, and have contributed to my interest in equity, diversity and inclusion.

I find swimming, cycling and running contribute to my enjoyment of life in a multitude of ways, and I always appreciate suggestions for places to swim, and cycling/running routes. A lot of my (previous) rides/runs are visible on Komoot.
